Muslim Student Association Hosts a Bake Sale

1 min read

On Oct. 12 2023, the Muslim Student Association hosted a bake sale across from the library.

SGA Rep Ismail Hassan said, “We’re fundraising for the families hit by the earthquake last year in Morocco, where 3,000 people died, for the earthquake in Turkey where we raised over $550. This is for earthquake victims in Afghanistan & Algeria.”

One of the most notable offerings at the event was homemade ice cream.

President Uzma Aloko said, “Some of the foods and beverages offered are homemade & some come from a store.”

This is not the first time the Muslim Student Association has hosted this event, and they hope to do so again.

Correction: The earthquakes in Afghanistan were took place within the last month and the earthquakes in Morocco took place last year.
